Coach Charter to the Grand Prix at Albert Park
The 2027 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix runs from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 April at Albert Park, with the race on the Sunday. It is also the first Australian round with a Sprint, so Friday and Saturday carry more racing.
Drop and go
While the event runs, Albert Park is strictly closed to public parking. A coach sets the group down, leaves, and comes back for the pick-up. The published visitor information gives no coach set-down points, so the operator plans the drop and the collection and sends both to you before the weekend.
For guests with accessibility needs, the organiser recommends Gates 1 and 5. If someone in the group needs a short walk, ask for a set-down near one of those. Taxi ranks and rideshare bays sit at several gates, including 1, 2, 3, 8 and 10, so guests who leave early still have a way home.

What public transport did in 2026
Public transport between the city and the park was free in 2026 for anyone with a valid ticket, and shuttle trams ran from three stations: Flinders Street, Southern Cross and Flagstaff. Gate 5 is roughly eight minutes on foot from Anzac Station, on the Metro Tunnel. For a group staying in the CBD, public transport may be enough. Check the 2027 arrangements when they are released.

Sprint weekend in the school holidays
Friday 2 April has Sprint Qualifying; Saturday 3 April has the Sprint itself. Victorian schools are on holiday that week, and 2026 set an attendance record. Expect busy roads around the park every day and build spare time into the return.
On the organiser's figures, the circuit is roughly 29 km from Melbourne Airport and 59 km from Avalon. A team or corporate party flying in can go straight to the track, with bags kept in the underfloor lockers while the coach waits away from the circuit.
Questions
Can the coach stay at the circuit during the day?
No. Public parking is not allowed at the circuit during the event. Plan a drop-off, a return time and a meeting point.
Is one coach enough for a four-day corporate program?
One coach can run each day, but driver hours limit how long each day can be: under the national heavy vehicle standard hours, 12 hours of work in any 24. For early starts and late finishes, the operator may roster two drivers.
What should we tell the operator?
The days you need, the group size, the hotel or pick-up address and anyone with accessibility needs. That settles the vehicle and the gate to aim for.
