What we collect

Details you give us: name, email, phone number, pickup and drop-off points, dates and times, flight or sailing details, passenger numbers, accessibility needs you choose to tell us, and your account login if you create one. Card payments are handled by Stripe or PayPal, who share only the payment outcome with us.

Technical information: browser type, pages visited and approximate location from your IP address, collected through cookies as set out in our cookie policy.

Why we use it

To quote and arrange your trip and to communicate about it. To keep accounting and tax records the law requires. To keep the site secure and improve it. We send marketing messages only with your consent, as the Spam Act 2003 requires, and every message lets you unsubscribe. Health information, such as accessibility needs, is used only to arrange a suitable vehicle, with your consent.

Who we share it with

The transport operators who quote or carry out your trip. Payment, email and hosting providers acting on our behalf, some of whom may store information overseas; where that happens we take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. Authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

As long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, then we destroy or de-identify it.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and to have it corrected. To do so, or to make a privacy complaint, email australiabusandcoach@proton.me. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
